Accessibility Statement

PackWay s.r.o. treats website accessibility as a voluntary commitment, not a legal obligation. Czech Act No. 99/2019 Coll. and Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council apply to public sector bodies, a category the private company PackWay s.r.o. does not fall into. We nonetheless follow the same principles, because an accessible website is a better website for every visitor.

This statement applies to the website packway.cz.

Our approach to accessibility

We design and build the website to the WCAG 2.1 level AA principles (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the international standard for accessible websites). These include sufficient text contrast, keyboard operability, understandable form labels, and respecting the system-level prefers-reduced-motion setting for animations.

How we check accessibility

The code regularly runs through automated tests using axe-core, part of our CI (continuous integration, automatic code verification on every change). These tests catch a large share of problems, but they do not cover every WCAG rule and do not replace a manual review. We have not yet carried out a formal WCAG 2.1 AA conformance audit, so we do not claim full compliance with that standard.

What may be less accessible

The website may nonetheless contain areas that are not fully accessible:

  • Some photographs and images may not have a detailed description in the form of alt text where they serve a primarily decorative purpose.
  • Embedded third-party documents (for example PDFs) may not be fully machine-readable.
  • Embedded third-party videos (for example YouTube, Vimeo) may lack captions or a transcript.
  • Some interactive animations may not be fully optimised for users with a reduced-motion preference, although the website does respect the system-level prefers-reduced-motion setting.
