Processing of Applicants' Personal Data

Who processes your data

The controller of personal data is PackWay s.r.o., registered at Dělnická 390, 533 01 Pardubice, company ID (IČO) 25629662. On matters of data protection you can reach us at info@packway.cz or by phone at +420 466 040 200. We were not required to appoint a data protection officer.

What data we process about you

We process only what you send us yourself through the form on the careers page:

• first and last name,
• phone number,
• email address,
• your CV, if you attach one (optional),
• the text of your message and notes from the selection process,
• which position you are applying for and when you applied.

What we do not ask you about

During the selection process we do not ask you for your date of birth, age, marital status, a photograph, information about your health, or your nationality. This follows from § 30 of the Czech Labour Code and Act No. 198/2009 Coll., on equal treatment. If you include such information yourself in your CV, we do not work with it and it plays no part in our decision-making.

Why we process your data and on what legal basis

We process the data from your application in order to assess your suitability for the position, contact you, invite you to a meeting, and potentially enter into an employment contract with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, i.e. steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. We do not need, and do not request, your consent for this.

Being added to our database of applicants for future selection processes is a separate matter. We only do this where you give us consent to do so in the form. The legal basis is then Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal, and will not disadvantage you in any selection process already under way.

How long we keep your data

• Without consent to further contact: for the duration of the selection process and for no longer than 30 days after we close it. Once that period has passed, we destroy the documents, CV included, under PackWay’s internal procedure.
• With consent to further contact: for no longer than three years from the date of application, or until consent is withdrawn, whichever comes first.
• If we go on to sign an employment contract with you, your data moves into our personnel records and is then governed by the retention periods required by law.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell applications to anyone, and we do not pass them on to other employers. Only our own staff running the selection process have access to your data.

We deliver your application, CV included, by email to PackWay’s HR department via Resend (USA), which handles email delivery for us. Retention and deletion of applications after delivery is governed by PackWay’s internal procedure, not an automatic technical mechanism. If we integrate a dedicated CV storage service in future (Vercel Blob), this overview will be updated.

We do not store application data in the content management system we use to manage the website’s content.

Your rights

In relation to your data, you have the right to:

• know what data we process about you, and obtain a copy of it,
• have it corrected or completed,
• have it erased,
• restrict its processing,
• data portability, for the data you provided to us,
• withdraw your consent to being added to our database of applicants,
• lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), www.uoou.cz.

You can exercise any of these rights by email at info@packway.cz. We will respond within one month at the latest.

Automated decision-making

No algorithm decides on applicants. Every application is read by a specific person on our team.
